| Bergen sailaway was 8pm. Spitsbergen sailed at the same time. We had to turn then as we neared the Askøy Bridge, passed her. We had got the bridge during arrival as we thought we'd be having dinner when we sailed under as we left so this was good. We headed to dinner in our coats. It was British night and we'd already pre-ordered but the menu looked pretty good. My dad returned to the cabin while I got some photos on deck, spotting AIDAsol in the distance. Supper Club was Anchors Away which had squid rings. I stayed up a bit to watch our entry into Sognefjord with the son of the woman from Birmingham before he went inside. I waited longer to get Le Boréal passing outbound. It was pretty windy but nice for May. Then I went to bed. |

| Flåm, my favourite Norwegian Port, where we were due to arrive at 7.45am. I was tired so skipped breakfast, leaving my dad to go alone. He had gained some confidence to do just that after a few days onboard. Once I woke up and was with it, we went ashore and met up with the person who does the Instagram. After a lovely chat and a few gifts, we went for a wander but my dad only made it as far as the visitor's information centre so he stayed there while I got photos then we went back to the ship for lunch and a nap before afternoon tea and the 5pm sailaway. After we left Flåm, we took a turn down Nærøyfjord, which leads to Gudvangen, but we didn't get that far before turning around and heading back to Sognefjord. We watched the Don't Stop Me Now show in the Coral Club, celebrating the music of Queen, which was excellent then relaxed before dinner. Supper Club was Italian. Our toilet decided to pack up so I reported it to Guest Services on the way back from seeing Deutschland and Amadea in the distance. It was fixed by 3.30am. Excellent service, Fred! |
