Sailaway was at 5.40pm instead of 6pm, which suited me. It was also meant to be a force 7 that night - bring it on! The sickie poo bags were out before we'd even left. I do like they way they put them everywhere, including lounges, unlike some likes which tack them onto the end of stair rails. After all, you never knew when you'd be seeing lunch again! We only blasted to tell a yacht to move it.

I went to the photo shop and also bought some fridge magnets. They were photos of the ship, mostly in Norway, which was apt. Rob went to the Hideaway Bar and I met him and the others at dinner afterwards. Raffie is a very funny waiter, offering black pepper because he has to put the kids through school. Poor Reagan looks like he's going to cry all the time. The snobs at the next table began to copy what we did, including speaking to Reagan because we had, while old bag continued to stare. Was it jealousy over my bust because she hasn't got one? Their riveting conversations consisted of, "You know so and so. They live near you." Ours were full of laughter and fun with each other and the waiters. Quiz time and we were late, arriving as the last question was being given - oops! Thank goodness for recaps meaning we got 8/10. they were very easy though. The show, Those Were The Days was on the Carousel Lounge, buffet then back to the warm room!

Kristiansand was the next day and it was raining so badly the Lido was leaking! The poor barman had to cover himself at times while serving. We quickly went off for photos, although Rob did go back later and it stopped raining. I did the internet instead and there was a crew drill happening, which was just asking them safety questions and very thorough from what I heard. The corridor adjacent to ours had the carpet up for repairs to the floor.

It was certainly lovely by the time we sailed at 6pm and it had become warmer too. Again, no blowing the whistle, even to signal going astern, which we did to turn. I was beginning to think this Captain had an aversion to ship whistles. Like Harwich, once we headed from the shelter of the harbour, the wind whipped up. We talked with a nice old couple until it got a bit too windy for all of us.

Dinner was fun again despite snotty bitch constantly staring. That table continued copying whatever we did. they must lead even more boring lives than I thought! Quiz after and we got eight out of ten so were in a tie break. Alan went up and both he and an old bearded bloke drew on that question but Alan was quickest answering the Ken Barlow question (Coronation Street was the answer). We got a Voyages of Discovery pen - woo!!! Then the bloke started to nitpick one of the quiz answers with Paul before he left in a huff, followed by his wife. The show was Discovery Strings, cancelled the night before due to bad weather. It was very good even if you're not into classical music although many old dears dropped off. Way past their bed time! Midnight buffet then bed.

Morning was Stavanger. I knew Adonia would be with us but no idea what time she arrived thanks to P&O's vagueness and the port site just listing ships. Couldn't be bothered getting up and a good job in one way! When we finally got up, there was a strange view out the window. We weren't docked where we would normally be and wondered why. Ashore we went and when Rob returned to get his other camera, some passenger was wheeled off and put in a taxi by the ship's doctor. Then we wandered around and bumped into a couple from Adonia, who said they arrived for 8.30am and would be going at 3.30pm. It was their first cruise and they were enjoying it.
