Saga's brand new Spirit of Adventure was named on the 19th July 2019, setting off on her maiden voyage a week later. On the 8th August, she went to Salt Mead Anchorage off the Isle of Wight to watch the Fastnet Race, staying from 8am until 9am on the 9th. It was the final stop, returning to Tilbury on the 10th. Because I don't drive and the first bus to Calshot wasn't until after 9am, I had to book a taxi to make sure I got there. Thankfully it had stopped raining by the time he turned up early. The departure time had been changed to 9.15am so I missed the first bus back home. It was nice seeing her sailing though.
