| On the 18th September 2011, I was on Grand Princess tootling around the English Channel in a force 8 en route to Le Havre. We were scheduled to be in Guernsey but turned around and came straight out again. Mid-afternoon I saw on my AIS app Opera was close, en route to La Rochelle. This was her final sailing this season from Southampton and she had left two days earlier, calling at Amsterdam before repositioning to Venice. It was very difficult to see her due to the sun and distance between us. |
