My friend Stephen Macey was sailing on his first Marco Polo cruise on the 9th June 2019 so we headed over to wave him off on my dad's favourite ship. She had arrived the day before and would be staying overnight. Originally due to arrive at 7.30am, she was delayed due to the same bad weather which cancelled Boudicca's penultimate call on the Royal British Legion D-Day charter, so docked at 9pm instead. Thankfully, the weather had improved on departure day and she left almost on time but had to be turned around so took a bit longer to emerge.
