Hebridean Princess in the Solent
The 2,112grt Hebridean Princess was anchored off Cowes between 8am and 12.30pm on the 20th August 2021.  She entered service in 1964 as a Scottish car ferry named Columbia, which was given the RMS title until 1988 when she was bought by Hebridean Cruises.  All Leisure Group bought the company in 2009 before going bust in 2017, but Hebridean Cruises survived.  In the absence of the Royal Yacht Britannia, the Queen chartered the ship in 2006 and again six years later.  I went to Calshot to see her sail from Cowes to Portsmouth.  Her departure time was put back an hour but she slipped off just after 1pm.
