Amadea, Braemar (III) & Seabourn Pride in Dover & the English Channel
I was on Vision of the Seas on the 17th September 2013, heading to Greenock.  Due to bad weather, we had skipped Invergordon after Oslo so would be going to the other Scottish port via the English Channel.  It was still bad at times but it gave the unexpected bonus of some ships, especially as we were sailing by in daylight!  First of all, in Dover, were Amadea and Braemar.  Despite the sunshine, it was pretty windy and cold as well as hazy.
After lunch, I was informed Seabourn Pride was ahead of us doing 7 knots en route to Le Havre from London.  I hadn't seen this one before, though I knew we would be together in Ireland on the 21st September, but us in Cobh and her in Cork so i would likely miss her.  The 9975grt Pride entered service in 1988 and was sold to Windstar in February 2013, chartered back until April 2014 when she will be re-enter service as Star Pride the following month.  The weather was very squally and quite windy, making Pride pitch as well as occasionally vanish.
