While heading homeon the 17th October 2021 after the first European cruise since restart on Queen Elizabeth, I spotted Bolette on Marine Traffic was coming the other way en route to Dover. Fred Olsen's new 62,743 grt flagship began life as Amsterdam in 2000. Along with her sister Rotterdam, she was bought from Carnival Corporation in July 2020 for peanuts as lines became desperate for money due to the Covid pandemic lasting longer than anyone expected. She was delivered that September, joining the others laid up in Rosyth and entered service for them in July 2021.
