| My friend Fay and I took a trip to Dover for the night to do some ship stalking and a ferry trip. We arrived on the 3rd July 2013, as she had never seen a Carnival ship, and the weather thankfully wasn't a soggy repeat of P&O's Grand Event in Southampton exactly a year earlier! It wasn't very nice though as Carnival Legend set off quietly at 5pm which not even a quick hello to her brand mate. |

| At 8pm was the departure of AIDAstella. The sun had come out and she gave three blasts as she set off heading for Portland, Dorset. There had been four yachts tootling about in their duck pond and two, despite being pushed back by the harbour master, one crept forward while another went back and forth getting in the way. |
