| Not long after midnight on the 28th May 2012, I was sailing on Balmoral, en route from Zeebrugge to Le Havre. I'd planned an early night until delayed texts came through from my dad saying the new ship, AIDAmar, heading to the same port as us, was right by us as we passed Dover. I threw some clothes on and headed out. It was windy but there she was - until we hit a fog patch and she disappeared for a while! We were going faster than her because we were due to arrive first. |
