Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth (II), Celebrity Silhouette & MSC Virtuosa
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all cruise lines suspended operations from various dates in March 2020.  Four on the 17th July 2021.  Mary had arrived on the 15th, Betty 16th and the other two returned from Seacations that morning.  Betty arrived that morning too.  Her 19th July restart was delayed until the 13th August due to Covid among the crew.  We had a trip on Shieldhall booked, which was the postponed 65th birthday cruise to Nab Tower and back.  Tug Lomax was tied up alongside so moved before we sailed.  The weather was absolutely perfect for messing about on the river!
We headed back slowly to berth 110 with Shieldhall exchanging whistles with a small cargo ship as well as Steam Tug Challenge and Whitonia, which was filling Virtuosa up.  Silhouette was due to leave at 5.30pm but unfortunately we were by the container ships killing time until our 6pm return so the photos are obscured.  It was absolutely impossible to get Mary or Virtuosa sailing.
