Marella Explorer 2, MSC Virtuosa, Iona & Queen Mary 2
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all cruise lines suspended operations from various dates in March 2020.  Four ships on the 12th June 2021 but only two sailing.  Marella Explorer 2 had arrived on the 10th, supposedly sailing on the 11th at 6pm.  However, she moved berths at that time from City to QEII to make way for Virtuosa, who was first to arrive in the morning.  She was closely followed by Iona and Mary.  The Marella was due to sail back to anchorage at 6pm with Virtuosa off on another cruise at 7pm, minus Greenock as Scotland wasn't open to ships.  My friend Neill Kelly was down for the MSC, originally disembarking in Greenock.  After popping down here at the end of May, he booked the remaining three nights just in case Scotland remained closed so will get off in Southampton instead.  The Marella cast off just before 6pm, silently slipping out.  Virtuosa did the same 13 mins early and was escorted by Svitzer Ferriby and Svitzer Eston, probably due to the Notice to Mariners regarding the LNG bunkering of Iona.
