Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all cruise lines suspended operations from various dates in March 2020. An early start on the 9th April 2021 as Marella Explorer was making her first lay-up call since June, having used Portland. She had remained anchored on the south coast (mostly Torquay) and using Portland. Vicky made up the rear, with Red Falcon deciding to photo bomb as she passed the pier. The Marella was due to dock at 6.30pm in the QEII Terminal but that was changed to City after Norwegian Bliss vacated it the night before, heading for wet dock in Brest before returning to Portland. Her time alongside was up with plans for the start of coastal cruising from after the 17th May so the berth would be needed. She was running late so Vicky wasn't that far behind. Vicky headed off for Babbacombe at 5.45pm while the Marella left at 9.20pm, back to Torquay. |
