Britannia (II), Queen Mary 2 & Marella Explorer
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all cruise lines suspended operations from various dates in March 2020.  The second ship from Southampton was sailing with her first passengers on the 25th June 2021 as Marella Explorer boarded happy people.  Britannia had been in since the 20th preparing for her own forthcoming Seacation, Mary the 21st and Explorer the 23rd.  Both the Marella and Mary were sailing at 6pm.  The Marella did eight bells for muster on the funnel as well, which was wonderful to hear again.  Her ropes began to go at around 6.05pm but she had to wait for the car carrier Autopride to pass, moving 2 minutes later.  Mary's ropes were being thrown a few minutes later, moving to the Upper Swinging Ground at 6.20pm.  There were some people near me waving someone off.  Mary looked very sad and neglected, her horn very mournful, like she was depressed.  She did one at Mayflower Park, one to Britannia but no response to the P&O, then five past Hythe pier.
