Marella Explorer & Queen Mary 2
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all cruise lines suspended operations from various dates in March 2020.  An early start on the 27th April 2021 as Mary and Marella Explorer arrived in the port, the latter preparing for restart at the end of June.  Ironically exactly five years earlier, Mary entered dry dock in Hamburg and was still awaiting one.  It was a beautifully warm morning, quite a change after the wind, rain and cold.  Both were staying overnight.  The Tug Tender Calshot had been moved the day before to a yard along the Itchen for restoration, leaving an empty space in berth 50.
