Queen Elizabeth (II), Zaandam (III) Southampton Debut & Allure of the Seas
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, most cruise lines suspended operations in March 2020.  Another waif and stray and second Holland America Line ship we never see on the 7th October 2020 in the shape of Zaandam.  This 61,396grt ship debuted in 2000 and is a R-class, like Rotterdam and Amsterdam but with one funnel.  Zaandam had been going between Schveningen anchorage and IJmuiden until entering dry dock in Rotterdam on the 21st September, heading to the Scheveningen anchorage on the 1st October.  Five days later, she headed to Southampton.  Betty arrived first followed by the HAL and finally Allure.
Only Zaandam was sailing in the end.  She left on time and headed to Torbay to join Westerdam and Volendam.  Betty's time kept being changed, eventually being the 8th so I went home.  Allure was staying until the 9th.
