Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, most cruise lines suspended operations in March 2020. It was time to say goodbye toOceana on the 8th July 2020. P&O had finally announced on the 7th she'd been sold, though not for what purpose. As it turned out, her new owner was Seajets in Greece, a ferry company, and would be renamed Queen of the Oceans. Ventura was also in and they said goodbye to each other after tranferring Oceana's crew to Ventura's tenders 18 and 20. Oceana gave several blasts as she departed, including a long one as she passed Dock Head. Azura arrived later that night. |
