Jewel of the Seas & Majesty of the Seas
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all cruise lines suspended operations from various dates in March 2020.  Two Royal Caribbean ships on the 1st June.  Jewel of the Seas had arrived the day before to repatriate crew.  Next it was Majesty's turn.  This 73,941grt ship was the last of the Sovereign class and debuted in April 1992.  That was her only previous call on a showcase before heading across to the US.  There was a lot of bad publicity this year because of these repatriations.  Also, the original press release stated Majesty and Empress would depart Port Miami on the 15th May, arriving 28th while Freedom would sail the same day and get here four days earlier.  Well nothing left anywhere and they changed their mind about Freedom!  Majesty and Empress remained at anchor off Nassau.  Finally, on the 19th, Majesty sailed from Coco Cay.  Due to Coronavirus restrictions, although not all during lay-up are shown, I have included them as they were in port.
With restrictions slowly beginning to ease, Hythe Marina was open to the public again - yay!  As I had been recovering from a bad back from the 16th May, I have no idea when it reopened but it was wonderful news.  The footbridge was closed for a survey and maintenance though.  Only Jewel was sailing at 8pm but only going to Nab anchorage.  Majesty was staying another night.
