Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, most cruise lines suspended operations in March 2020. Carnival Magic finally made it to Southampton on the 15th July 2020. Originally listed for the 12th June after departing Barcelona on the 4th following repatriation of crew in the Med, it was changed to Weymouth anchorage that day instead. After that, she went to Dover, before heading for Torbay, where she was reunited with Carnival Breeze and Carnival Valor. She then made her way to Zeebrugge, leaving there on the 13th July. I'd last seen the 128,028grt Magic in Barcelona from Norwegian Epic back in her maiden year. It was too dark to get any decent photos, however, so at least now I'd have a chance. Arcadia, which had returned after three months in Dover, was down to sail at 3pm, Mary at 4pm and Magic two hours later. Mary left after 4pm, Arcadia 5.25pm and Magic an hour later, anchoring off Nab first, eventually sailing for Civitavecchia on the 19th. |
