Aurora & Norwegian Spirit
Norwegian Spirit and Aurora were in on the 2nd August 2019.  The 75,904grt Spirit had made her Southampton debut under that name on the 31st May but, as I was going to see the Rod Stewart concert at St Mary's, I was unable to get her sailing the following times, apart from when she went past us on Oriana outbound by East Cowes at 5.15am on the 22nd July.  Spirit had first visited for a showcase in 1998 as SuperStar Leo but transferred to NCL in 2004 to replace Norwegian Sky, who was doing Hawaiian cruises itineraries until Pride of America was complete following a partial sinking in the German shipyard during building.  Aurora was due to sail first at 4.30pm with Spirit half an hour later but the P&O was put back 15 minutes.  As she was moving, Spirit was changed to 5.30pm despite a sailaway party going on since 4.30pm.  Aurora passed and Spirit's ropes began to go just after 5.15pm and she silently followed her out..
