World Odyssey UK Debut
After having to sell Explorer, Semester at Sea had chartered a new ship.  World Odyssey began life as Deutschland in 1998 for Peter Deilmann Cruises but they went bust in 2015.  She was sold and reflagged from Neustadt in Holstein to Nassau.  Due to the grounding of Hamburg resulting in being temporarily withdrawn to be repaired, Deutschland was charted between 9th June and 10th August to fulfill those cruises and painted in Plantours colours.  Then she wasb being prepared in Kiel ready for her next role, her livery changed to Semester At Sea.  As with Explorer over the past few years, Southampton would be the embarkation port.  In summer she would revert to Deutschland for Plantours.  It was mild down the marina as she was arriving.  John and Roz Kennedy were down for her arrival too.  She was due for 8am but arrived slightly earlier than that on the 9th September 2015, docking starboard in QEII Terminal and would be alongside until the 13th.  It was really lovely seeing her again.  I first had in 2011 when she was in IJmuiden, complete with 2012 Olympics logo, as she would be an accommodation ship in London.  The only other time I saw her was in La Coruna in 2014 when she was opposite us in La Coruna and Delphin (currently laid up and unloved) sidled between my ship Voyager and Deutschland to dock.
