Norwegian Epic & Balmoral
The 19th October 2015 was the day Norwegian Epic returned after refit.  I had been in Bristol when she made her Southampton return on the 26th September so glad of another opportunity to see her as she prepared to reposition back to Barcelona.  She was scheduled for 6am so no gorgeous sunrise like the one I'd missed.  Balmoral had also been due then but was delayed, first until 10am then 9.30am so I didn't get her.  Epic was down to sail at 3pm with Balmoral an ambitious 4.30pm, which was subsequently changed to 5pm.  As we waited, the new Hythe ferry, Uriah Heep, was on the run and having difficulty getting alongside the pontoon (which it managed on the third attempt) and later almost hugged the dock wall after crossing Red Osprey's wake.  Meanwhile, Lomax had been at 38 berth and the tall ship, Earl of Pembroke was still at Solent Refit a month or so after going there after the boat show.  Epic finally began throwing her lines just before 4pm.  As I had to get to work I skipped Balmoral.
