Explorer/Celestyal Odyssey, Britannia (II) & Ventura
The Semester at Sea vessel, Explorer, arrived in Southampton at the end of her latest spring voyage on the 29th April 2009  She had been sold in March after being put on the open market a year before but allowed to run this voyage.  Until 2009, the Institute for Shipboard Education, chartered ships and the responsibility of ownership became too much.  Louis Cruises, since renamed Celestyal Cruises, bought her.  She docked in Mayflower Terminal.  I saw her the following day as I went to board Anthem of the Seas.
So on the 2nd May she was ready to leave for Pireaus under her new name of Celestyal Odyssey.  I was still on Anthem of the Seas so my dad went for photos but he failed to get her sail just before 1pm and the camera had a 10x zoom so was unable to get her new name properly.  Britannia and Ventura were also in but I wasn't that bothered about those.
Celestyal Odyssey wasn't long under that name.  Six months later she was sold to China, becoming Glory Sea from March 2016.
