| An unexpected meeting on the 29th March 2012 when Saga Pearl II was in port with the new flagship, Saga Sapphire. Originally, Sapphy was meant to have sailed on her maiden voyage three days earlier, but strikes at the Palermo yard delayed her so instead she arrived that morning at first light, a new maiden scheduled for the 2nd April. As Pearl was sailing at 5pm, we headed across to Town Quay for 4pm, only to discover the bastards changed the time to 10.15pm! So half an hour later we were back on the ferry coming home. |
