Independence of the Seas & Queen Victoria
The usual suspects on the 5th May 2012 with Indy and Vicky.  Star Flyer has been due but for some reason was removed from the arrivals and wasn't showing on the AIS.  My back was reasonably okay so I went down to wave Alison Miles and Ben Montgomery off on Indy, but had to wrap up warm.  It was flipping freezing, the wind coming off the water!  Both were due to sail at 4.30pm.  Vicky threw her ropes first almost ten minutes late, giving one solitary parp.  Meanwhile as she was going, Indy parped but didn't move, eventually cashing off nearly half an hour late, giving one more parp.  My now our fingers were red raw and numb.  This was more like winter than spring.
Then home to defrost after the worst weather for spring since I've been doing this regularly.  Star Flyer later appeared on the AIS, her destination given as Dover the following morning.  Such a shame but I hope her September call happens.
