Liberty of the Seas, Saga Ruby, Saga Rose & Navigator of the Seas
What should have been three ships on the 26th April 2007 ended up being four due to Saga Ruby being delayed at New York during the last leg of her world cruise.  Originally the schedule listed the 138,000grt Navigator of the Seas arriving for 11am with Liberty of the Seas departing at 11.30am.  However as the day neared everything was changed.  Saga Ruby was now due for 4am and docking next to her sister in the QEII terminal with Navigator 5am.  It was a big day for Royal Caribbean and I'm sorry I missed it so it was left to my dad to get the pics only he didn't use the zoom during Liberty's sailing so apologies for the small white blobs representing a monumental occasion in Southampton.
Compared to her sisters Freedom of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas who have all docked there, she did look little.  People have said Royal Caribbean used the Radiance class hull on the Celebrity Millennium class ships but if they look really closely they will notice a lot of external differences between them.  I like the Radiance class, which are less boxy than the Millennium class, and would like to sail on one in the future.  As we walked around to get closer Whitchallenger had finished bunkering and was pulling away.
As Liberty passed Saga Rose and Saga Ruby the two smaller ships saluted the mega monster.  Saga Rose started it off while Saga Ruby joined in and Liberty replied before heading off to America.
Saga Ruby was down to leave at 2.30pm but she didn't go until 4pm.  Navigator of the Seas was also 4pm.  Saga Rose wasn't due to sail until 6pm.
With Navigator not moving my dad decided to give up and went to get the bus.  As he waited Saga Rose passed the pier.  Navigator left after 7pm.
