| Due to us having a diversion down Hjørundfjord after leaving Ålesund on the 17th July 2013, we passed Mein Schiff 1 and Thomson Spirit exiting Geirangerfjord, where we SHOULD have been that day on QM2. I'd been at dinner and missed that so was delighted to spot Mein Schiff through the balcony doors heading in the same direction as us. It turned out she was headed to Flåm. Thomson Spirit was Bergen bound like us. It was quite strange seeing two TUI-run ships in close proximity but aimed at different markets. |

| Later, during a snackette in Kings Court, it had become darker and we could see Mein Schiff beginning to speed up so we dashed back to the cabin before she vanished completely. Meanwhile, coming the opposite way, was Marco Polo. Once it was completely dark, only Spirit was still in sight. It was so windy, making it difficult to hold the camera steady, so these are the best of the bunch. |
