On the 22nd October 2012, we on Celebrity Constellation were in Leixoes, for Oporto while Independence of the Seas was in Vigo.  Her departure time was 4pm CET while ours was 6pm BST and while she headed south towards Lisbon, we would be going the opposite way to Southampton.  She left over an hour late, eventually appearing during a thunderstorm but was so far away I had trouble finding her with so few lights - grrr!  If it wasn't for my friend Fay updating me by text, I could easily have missed her.
