MSC Opera & Hamburg at Stavanger
On the 20th June 2012, we were docked in Stavanger and would be joined at 3pm by Hamburg.  This ship was last known as c.Columbus for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and was now under charter to Plantours, completely with new livery.  As I was having lunch, I spotted her pass the bridge.
That sod was going to be early!  I hurried to finish my meal then went ashore to get photos of her arriving.  It was so warm, I was overdressed in cardie and winter jacket, so stuff the cardie in my bag.  I managed to get as far as the security gate as she arrived but then everyone was moved back when the ropes were thrown.
A quick pop back to the ship to dump by coat and charge batteries before heading back out to meet my Facebook friend, Oskar Osmudsen, who would be arriving just after 3pm.  We wandered around taking photos and first there were tour buses by Hamburg then some sort of lorry.  Thankfully both went.
Our departure was 5.30pm but we went a little earlier.  The weather was still glorious.
