| While sailing from IJmuiden on MSC Opera on the 17th June 2012, I spotted Costa neoRomantica approaching the locks, having departed from Amsterdam two hours earlier. The ship entered service in 1993 as Costa Romantica, weighing 52,926grt. In 2012 she received a revamp inside and out, adding balconies and other things, which increased her tonnage to 56,000grt. After the Costa Concordia accident in January 2012, neoRomantica replaced Magica on the Northern Europe routes. |
