Caribbean Princess & Celebrity Constellation in Aruba

The first port on my Celebrity Constellation cruise was Oranjestad, Aruba, where we would be joined by Caribbean Princess on the 6th December 2011.  When I got on deck, we were already docked and she was coming along our starboard side.  The new 113,000grt Grand class was originally ordered by P&O in 1999 (and 110,000grt and 2600 passengers according to press releases at the time) to join their fleet in April 2004, they announced in November 2002 they would transfer Sea Princess and Ocean Princess across instead, becoming Adonia (I) and Oceana respectively.  The modified Grand class became Caribbean Princess, although the name given in press releases was Crown Princess, and carries 3100 passengers.  In 2012 she replaces Crown Princess on Southampton cruises.

My tour bus provided a few good photo opportunities, though sadly not as many as I'd have liked.
Caribbean Princess was due to leave at 6pm with us two hours later.  She gave three lasts then sailed off into the sunset.
