| The first Canary Islands stop on the 5th November 2012 as Independence of the Seas arrived in Gran Canaria. AIDAbella was already in and would be sailing at midnight, whereas we were 7pm. After lunch I headed ashore as far as my back would let me walk, so I could take photos. |

| We left a little before 7pm as they seemed to be having a Bee Gees night on the AIDA, their band belting out hit songs. It sounded like they were having a great party. There were a few camera flashes as we went while people around me were also taking photos of the AIDA. |
