| On the 16th April 2000 P&O's latest superliner, ordered in April 1997, arrived for the first time at her home in Southampton. Based on the current Oriana, she was slightly bigger. On the 1st May 2000, Aurora departed on her maiden voyage. Unfortunately, due to engine problems which were to return again before her 2005 world cruise resulting in it being cancelled, she limped back home two days later before heading to Germany for repairs. |
