| Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all cruise lines suspended operations from various dates in March 2020 The P&O ships and Vicky had been back a while. Mary was the last of the resident Southampton waifs and strays to return on the 15th April. That should have been it apart from Marella Celebration at anchor off Nab and Allure of the Seas returning for fuel and supplies. However, Marella Explorer headed our way from the Med. She left Las Palmas on the 19th March and had been anchored off Ceuta until the 10th April. She divrted for a medevac at à Coruna on the 13th before continuing on her journey. She anchored at Nab Anchorage 6 near Marella Celebration on the 15th overnight before heading in on the 16th. I decided to try Hythe pier, since she was arriving for 9.15am and ferries were only running during peak time. She ran late so I didn't stay to get her dock as the bus was 9.45am and I wasn't waiting an hour for the next one. Ventura sailed in the afternoon for an overnight tootle. |
