| And so for the departures of the remaining five plus arrival of Queen Victoria, complete with her new stern cabins for 6.45pm and docking in QEII Terminal after Crown Princess vacated it. Indy was scheduled for 4.30pm, Ventura and Crown Princess half an hour later, Seven Seas Explorer at 9am with Silver Whisper heading off at 10pm. Well as usual nothing goes to plan! I was picked up by David Trevor-Jones, a fellow ship enthusiast I had met during my Astoria cruise in March. It was pretty windy but Vicky was in a hurry to rest her props after such a long journey from Palermo. Indy, as usual. was on time. Ventura was half an hour late. Crown set off after she passed. Meanwhile Vicky waited off Fawley for the trio to pass then headed to Eastern Docks, unusually docking portside. Later, Seven Seas Explorer sailed at sunset while Silver Whisper left about ten minutes early. |
