| The brand new Ovation of the Seas made her UK debut on the 10th April 2016 after the handover in Bremerhaven two days earlier. The third of five scheduled Quantum class of ships, she weighed in at 167,000grt. She was slightly early so they added a three night cruise on the 14th ahead of the original maiden voyage on the 17th. Britannia was already in, having arrived at the usual time, while Ovation was scheduled for 3pm, which was subsequently brought forward to 2.15pm, with her docking half an hour later. It was very windy and cold but thankfully dry. She would be staying put for the following four days. |
