Royal Princess (III) - Maiden Voyage
It was nice on the aft bit of the Prom deck and very peaceful and quite mild as well.  It was either spitting a little on that and the other part of the deck or they were cleaning the decks above and I was being sprayed.  Because the ship has basically nothing in a straight line apart from the upper decks, walking around all the corners aggravated my back and knee so I missed a few places when I returned to my cabin about 4am.
Our final port before reaching Barcelona was Malaga.  I got up at 1.30pm - oops!  Needed to be up earlier the next day for the early night - haha!  After lunch at Trident Grill, I went for dock pictures.  I liked this port.  It reminded me of Tenerife except they have nice viewing areas.  There was a dead lizard up there and it took a while before I realised it wasn't going to pounce, but looked like it was in the middle of walking somewhere and stopped as someone was coming.
Sailaway was 6pm and the fog had started coming down in patches about 2 hours before.  At least the PA system was working again but with the fog coming and going in waves, it was difficult to see when we'd even pulled away from the dock.  No Love Boat horn today, just fog horn until we'd cleared it about an hour later.  I'd been invited to join Matt and Mark for dinner in Sabatini's, which also was $25 per person.  Mark had passed a message onto me during dinner the previous night via his waiter to meet in Vines at 7.45pm but when I got there, Matt was in the atrium and Mark was elsewhere watching Chris Watkins, who is billed as Fireworks on Four Strings.  He had also done a show in the theatre but I skipped that.  We went into dinner and surprisingly it was pretty empty.  An American lady over the other side of the room was stood by the window getting excited over something so I went to ask what.  She said she thought she could see dolphins in the wash but all I saw was the water.  As the evening progressed, her dining companions plus others jumped up and down to see these dolphins but none appeared to actually take a photo.  We had the best waiter from Romania, I think it was, as well as head waiter.  While everyone else was just served with a smile, we were laughing the entire evening.  It was a great night.
