Norwegian Epic - A Taste of Epic
Up at 4.30am to explore while it was quiet.  It was like a millpond outside but we had a signal so I checked the AIS and saw we were averging 13 knots around Dover.  Meanwhile we had company.  The tug Millgarth had come from Gravesend and escorted us until Selsey when it returned to base.  Looked very cute and clearly a relative of Lady Madeleine and Bentley.  Again, this was kept quiet as the NCL propaganda machine rolled out lies and attempted to make out this trip wasn't as bad as we were experiencing.  As I walked around the very quiet ship with only a few crew and cleaners for company, I spotted one crew member having a cigarette.  Now passengers aren't allowed to smoke in corridors and public rooms so why should crew, even if it was the crack of yawn?  I did wonder if anyone knew about it or it always happens since what the moaning passenger can't see, they can't try and get compensation about?  Didn't bother me one bit.  I may have given up the evil weed in January 2008, but each to their own.  I rarely drink but wouldn't demand people don't.  I found it quite amusing some stupid rules were being broken and no other crew member with him objected.
A passenger started to take food from the Garden Cafe and was told off.  Turned out this was crew breakfast, but the girl let him keep what he already had.
